Mary In The Junkyard and Blue Bendy lead the line-up for a War Child benefit gig at London’s EartH next month – find tickets here.

Also performing at the event are Aga Ujma, Skydaddy and Ugly, while there’s also a Black Country, New Road DJ set.

The ‘EartH to Earth’ fundraiser aims to raise money for children and families in Gaza and Sudan, with all proceeds helping communities heal and rebuild. It’s set to take place from 4pm on March 28, and tickets go on sale on Friday (February 6) at 10am – buy them here.

The event is hosted by Bathtime Sounds, the promoter alias of artist Skydaddy – real name Rachid Fakhre. “Two years on, as the conflict widens and we are already seeing the widespread effects of trauma in both Gaza and Sudan, I feel War Child are making great efforts to help not just children but whole families who are suffering from trauma,” he said about the event. “There will be a brief talk at the event from a representative of War Child who will be outlining their work in both war zones.”

It’s the latest in a series of charity events Fakhre has been involved in over the past couple of years, after shows at The Alternative Escape, EartH and The George Tavern featuring performances from artists including Black Country, New Road, The New Eves, Tapir!, Heartworms and Cameron Picton.

The announcement comes weeks after Sudanese-Canadian artist Mustafa raised $5.5million for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Sudanese American Physicians Association with an ‘Artists For Aid’ concert in Los Angeles.

His third benefit gig, the January 10 event was hosted by Bella Hadid and Pedro Pascal and saw the likes of Clairo, Shawn Mendes and Geese perform, while Chappell Roan also appeared for a surprise cover of The Magnetic Fields‘ ‘The Book Of Love’ with Lucy Dacus.

And last September, London saw a huge ‘Together For Palestine’ show organised by Brian Eno. Over 150 artists and cultural figures united at the OVO Arena Wembley to show solidarity and raise funds for the people of Gaza. The night saw huge performances from Damon Albarn, Paul Weller, Cat Burns, Rachel Chinouriri, Yasiin Bey, Bastille’s Dan Smith and more, and had presenters including Eric Cantona, PinkPantheress, Richard Gere, Benedict Cumberbatch, Florence Pugh, and Nicola Coughlan.

The following month, Weller curated a ‘Gig For Gaza’ at Troxy. He was among the performers, too, alongside sets from the likes of Kneecap, Inhaler, Primal Scream and Maverick Sabre.
