Ciara appeared on the third episode of Walker’s Apple Music podcast Over It Radio to discuss their love lives, music careers and more. In a clip from the show, Walker thanked the ‘Goodies’ star for helping her through a public break-up back in 2021 with producer London On Da Track.
“I just wanna shout out the big sister, big mentor that you are,” said Walker. “You really truly are a girl’s girl, if anyone ever has to wonder. I was crashing out, down bad about my baby daddy. You know how it used to go on the internet – I’m demure now, I’on do it no more ’cause of you – but you called and you reached out.
“You was like, ‘Girl, no! Don’t act like that. Don’t do all that. God will take care of everything at the end and you just focus on your career and being a great mom,’ and I just wanted to say that I appreciate that. I’ll never forget it because, to keep [on] crashing out, I had to cut it out. So, thank you.”

Ciara replied, saying she “appreciated” Walker’s gratitude and reminding the fellow Atlanta singer that she is “gonna be here” for her. She also stated that women “need to celebrate each other, especially in times now more than ever,” adding: “This has always been the statement, ‘Now more than ever,’ [but] we need each other and this [support] is powerful.”
The two have worked together before. On her second studio album, 2021’s ‘Still Over It’, Walker had Ciara recite a prayer for the closing track, aptly named ‘Ciara’s Prayer’. A year later, they duetted for the first time on the uplifting pop-R&B single, ‘Better Thangs’.

Walker’s Over It Radio made a comeback last year as part of the promotion for the singer’s upcoming third studio album ‘Finally Over It’. It will be the final instalment in Walker’s ‘Over It’ album series and is set to be released later this year.
Last October, she shared the album’s lead single, the ’90s-inspired neo-soul ballad ‘Heart of A Woman’. The music video – which was less than two weeks ago – featured rapper NLE Choppa, who made a cameo as her love interest.
Meanwhile, Ciara celebrated the 20th anniversary of her iconic debut album ‘Goodies’ last September by releasing a limited edition vinyl.
This summer, Ciara will also co-headline London’s Mighty Hoopla festival with Kesha. The ‘Oh’ singer is set to take the stage on May 31 alongside other acts such as Big Freedia, Booty Luv, Jamelia, and more.
