Billie Eilish has reacted to being named a dream collaborator by Rihanna, exclaiming, “What in the absolute fuck!”
On Friday (October 25), the ‘Umbrella’ singer was asked by Access Hollywood who her dream musical collaborator would be, to which she said: “If I could only do a song with Billie Eilish. Mm-mm, she’s so good.”
News got back to Eilish in short order, with the ‘Birds Of A Feather’ singer replying to the clip on her Instagram Stories with the caption: “What in the absolute fuck oh my god what the fuck”.

Rihanna has been largely inactive in music for the last eight years, not releasing a full-length record since 2016’s ‘Anti’. Her last new track remains ‘Lift Me Up’, which was included on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack in 2022.
She has spoken about her next album, currently referred to as ‘R9’, however. In April, she said she had material she felt she “could make hits out of”. Additionally, she told Extra that she felt the album would represent “the evolution” of her sound.
In July, she spoke about the delay in making the record, saying she was “starting over” and “rediscovering” what she wanted ‘R9’ to be like.
Eilish, meanwhile, will head to the UK and Ireland next summer, with that portion of the ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ tour including six nights at London’s O2. You can visit here for any remaining North American tickets, and here for UK/Ireland tickets.
Eilish’s ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ scored a four-star review, with Thomas Smith writing for NME: “‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’ remains distinctly unique, a portrait of a singular talent entering young adulthood, exploring her queerness and experiencing the emotional thrill and (sometimes) catastrophe of chasing passion or falling in love. In trying to write an album for herself, she’s made one that will resonate harder than anything she’s done before.”
The singer has also recently said she never wants to talk about her sexuality and love life publicly “ever again” after revealing in an interview last year that she was attracted to women.
